We supply skilled and reliable workers to support engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing operations across WA. Our clients include major workshops seeking quality Trades Assistants to support Boilermakers, Welders, and general fabrication teams.

We are currently seeking Trades Assistants for ongoing casual roles in Perth, supporting heavy fabrication and repair work. These positions offer competitive casual rates, fortnightly pay, and the opportunity for ongoing work depending on performance and client needs.

THE ROLE

As a Trades Assistant, you will be supporting qualified tradespeople across welding, fabrication, and workshop operations. You will assist with prep work, general labouring, and safe workshop practices to help maintain productivity and workflow.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting Boilermakers and Welders with daily tasks
• Preparing materials, cutting, grinding, and basic fabrication support
• Operating hand and power tools safely
• Cleaning welds, basic tacking, and workshop housekeeping
• Moving and organising materials within the workshop
• Supporting quality and safety requirements
• Following instructions and contributing to a safe work environment

ABOUT YOU

You are reliable, safety focused, and comfortable working in a busy fabrication workshop.

Essential Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Trades Assistant in fabrication, welding, or heavy engineering
• Competency using hand and power tools
• White Card
• Reliable transport to travel to workshop locations
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to pass D&A if required
• Full Australian work rights

Desirable:
• Forklift Licence (LF)
• Experience supporting Boilermakers or Welders
• Basic welding or oxy cutting experience
• Overhead crane experience
